About

Welcome to our farm, friends!

Rocky Sink Farm has been in our family for more than twenty years, nestled in the mountains of Southwest Virginia. While the land was quiet for many of those years, we’ve recently begun restoring it as an active family farm, guided by stewardship, simplicity, and care for what’s been entrusted to us.

We are a small family of five, working and learning together on 28 acres of mountain land. Generations ago, this farm supported a thriving orchard and extensive hog areas, both of which were eventually removed. Today we’re slowly bringing those pieces back! A young orchard now grows where the old one once stood, and guinea hogs have arrived to the property, helping us reconnect with the farm’s roots.

We raise animals and share what we produce through fresh eggs, naturally fermented sourdough and baked goods, guinea hogs, and hatching chicken eggs. Our approach is hands-on and homegrown, shaped by the seasons and a respect for the land and animals in our care.

Rocky Sink Farm is a place of restoration – of land, of skills, and of family life. We believe tending the land well matters, and we’re grateful to share the food and abundance that come from that work.

The blog “Small House, Big Adventure” began around 2012 as a way to document the tiny house build. Although tiny house living has not been our ultimate life path, many principles learned along the way permeate our lives and how we view our family’s future.
